ESY Services:
Preventing Summer Regression
Every child deserves a classroom where they can thrive. Grade Point Resources exists to make sure the right professionals are in place to make that happen, for every student, in every district we serve.
Extended School Year (ESY) services are offered to special education students who typically regress and struggle with recoupment of IEP goals after extended breaks in the academic calendar.
Grade Point Resources has served over 300 students across grades K–12 for more than a decade, delivering structured, supportive ESY programs that maintain momentum and protect hard-won IEP progress.
What Our ESY Programs Address
Our Extended School Year programs are built around the full range of IEP goal areas to ensure students don't lose critical ground over the summer.
Academic Competencies
Maintaining and improving skills in reading, mathematics, and written expression aligned with each student's IEP goals and current performance levels.
Social-Emotional Learning
Daily social-emotional instruction helping students build the interpersonal skills they need to succeed in school, at work, and in the community.
Mental Health Support
Structured programming for stress management, anger management, and emotional regulation, supporting students' overall wellbeing throughout the summer.
Vocational Preparation
Vocational training and preparation for transition-age learners, focusing on job readiness skills, work behaviors, and community integration.
Occupational Therapy
OT components integrated into the ESY program to maintain fine motor skills, sensory regulation, and functional daily living skills over the summer break.
Pragmatic Language
Speech-language components targeting pragmatic (social) communication skills to prevent regression in students with autism and related communication challenges.
Job Coaching & Specialized Classrooms
Job Coaching
Grade Point Resources, using vocational interest surveys, can build a job coaching program tailored to the needs of particular students. Our job coaching supports transition-age learners in developing the work skills, behaviors, and community connections they need for meaningful employment.
Specialized Classrooms
Grade Point Resources can provide specialized classrooms, including autistic support, emotional support, life skills, and vocational training, located on your school district's campus with qualified educators and support staff.
